Minimum Ceiling for a Full Swing

9'2"

Checking your room...

Why it matters: A driver swing arcs well above your head at the top. This estimate is a widely used rule of thumb (your height plus swing clearance) — always take slow practice swings with your longest club before committing to a build.

How to Measure

1. Ceiling: Measure floor to the lowest obstruction — joists, lights, and garage door tracks count, not just the drywall.
2. Depth: Radar monitors sit behind you and need ball flight room — plan on roughly 15–18 ft total. Photometric units need closer to 10–12 ft.
3. Width: Aim for 12 ft or more so righties and lefties can both hit from center screen; 10 ft is workable for one-handed households.
